The Tampa Bay LGBT Chamber comprises a diverse group of LGBT-owned businesses. Some of these companies are Certified LGBT Business Enterprises, routinely sought after by corporations and government agencies looking to increase their spending with the LGBTQ business community.
In 2020, the Tampa Bay LGBT Chamber partnered with the Tampa Downtown Partnership for Pride Month to reveal the permanent intersection mural located in the historic Tampa Heights neighborhood of Tampa’s Downtown. The painting signifies unity and showcases our diverse community.
In 2020, an LGBTQ+ Pride-themed rainbow mural was painted in the district at the intersection of St. Pete’s Central Avenue and 25th Street.
Sarasota is home to the Harvey Milk Festival, a coalescence of visual and performance art, dance and music to uplift the LGBTQ+ community. Each May, the festival honors the legacy of its namesake, Harvey Milk, the United States’ first openly gay elected official.
